Is the river trip difficult?

No, the canoe easily floats along the river. You do not have to be a pro to be able to make it to the tree houses.

Is water and electricity provided at the tree houses?

No, water and electricity are not provided. We recommend that when you come, you bring a case of water for your stay. 

​

Is food provided?

No, we do not provide food on this excursion. 

​

How far are you from the closest city?

It is an hour and a half drive from Savannah, Columbia, and Charleston. 

​

Where is the closest food and grocery store?

There are a variety of grocery stores 15 minutes away in each direction up and down the road. The closest fast food is a subway which is less than 5 minutes away.

​

What is the recommended age limits?

We recommend that the children are over ten years of age. But, if you believe your child will be safe and responsible in this environment, we encourage you to bring them along!

​

Is it a comfortable sleep?

Yes, almost everyone that has stayed in our tree houses has enjoyed their stay. We have not had any complaints about the bedding or sleeping situation. 

​

Are there bathrooms in the tree houses?

No, we want to make this camping experience as real as possible. 

​

Where do you keep all the canoes and living items?

We keep everything in the livery shed. 

​

What kind of wildlife is around?

We have seen many different types of birds, turtles, turkey, deer, raccoons, frogs, owls, fish, and alligators. We ask that our visitors do not touch or feed the animals. Alligators have only been seen a limited amount of times. But, they mainly stay in the swamp area so it is safe to swim and lounge by the river bank.
